Beware of the Symptoms of Sensitive Teeth
Tooth sensitivity is usually caused by exposed dentin on root areas due to receded gums or periodontal disease. The dentin contains a large numbers of pores or tubes that run from the outside of the tooth to the nerve in the centre. Without the protection of enamel, these tubes can be stimulated by changes in temperature or certain foods.
